1st DUTH International Week
1st DUTH International Week 24-28 May 2021 Online event
The First DUTH International Week, a five-day training programme, took place from 24 to 28 May 2021 in online format, due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
The aim of the International Week was to introduce Democritus University of Thrace to our partners and prospective partners, to give them the opportunity to present their University, as well as to network, benchmark and share ideas and good practices, while conducting training activities in a variety of fields, such as:
- New features of the Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027
- Covid-19 Challenges and Digital Transition in Education
- New digital tools in Higher Education
- Open Pedagogies in Higher Education
- Time management, motivation, emotions and performance
Academic and administrative staff shared a common programme for the first three days, on May 27th and 28th however, academic and administrative staff have had different activities; for academic staff emphasis was given on the development of pedagogical and curriculum design skills for HEIs.
Joint sessions with the University of Piraeus’ Staff Week were held on May 25th and 26th, linking two Universities and two events in one in the virtual world and expanding the opportunities for networking and exchange of ideas!
80 participants from 36 different Universities in 22 countries have gathered in a friendly and inclusive virtual environment.
We are happy that the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, with near 100 percent of participants recommending our International Week.
