Zoe Ioannidou

PhD candidate, Department of Greek Philology, Democritus University of Thrace

Zoi Ioannidou studied Greek Philology at Democritus University of Thrace. She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics, viz. in Teaching Greek as a second/foreign language, from the University of Nicosia. At present, she is a PhD Student at Duth. Her research interests lie in the field of Systemic Functional Linguistics, historical discourse, and Content-Based Instruction of Greek as a second language. At the same time, she is working as a language teacher as well as a translator of legal documents in English, German and Russian. She has worked as a lecturer of Ancient Greek Philosophy and completed her internship as a researcher at the Centre of the Greek Language. She serves as a teaching assistant at Duth in the courses “Teaching Greek as a second language” and “Teaching Greek for academic purposes”. She is also engaged in the development of the new elementary school textbooks.
